The album is a concept album, wrapping up many modern day problems such as war, addiction, abuse, power, and anxiety, among others, in ocean-themed metaphors.
The title of the album and first track both reference Riikira's frequency band, which first appeared in the thank-you notes to Kitcaliber's ИΣVΣRLAИD SØUИDGIRL$. The first track is stylised using the same characters as found in aforementioned thank-you notes.
The album version of "Relapse" is significantly extended from the original release on Youtube and Patreon.
"Sonar Eclipse" contains an excerpt from the song "Vultures" by Kitcaliber, from their album D.FREQ.CRUSH.
The album was released on limited edition CD on 17 December 2015. Featuring a glossy digipak design, 8-page lyric booklet, purple-base CD, a bonus track, and free guitar pick with the M027 typography. In February 2021, the album was re-released on CD via Amazon Media On Demand.
